Flash! Kindle for Android app now available

Flash! Kindle for Android app now available

It was announced in May as coming this summer, and in this

press release

Amazon announces that the Kindle for Android app is now available.

You can get it here:

http://www.amazon.com/kindleforandroid

I assume it isn’t going to work on the NOOK at this point, since, although it is an Android device, I don’t think you can put an app like this on it.

However, it may work on the Spring Design Alex: if you have one, please let me know if it works.

Busy day…  🙂

Thanks for the prompt alert. Installed it and have downloaded books from my archive. Surprisingly good with default text size and crystal clear. Page turns easy swipe.

They don’t have the search and dictionary in it yet but indicate it’s to come soon.

With my KDX, K4PC and my Droid Eris I am a well equipped reader.

I love field reports…I’m glad it looks good on your device.

Now, you’ll never be without your library… 🙂

    Bufo,

Just got a Sprint phone with Google Android. One of the first apps we loaded was Kindle for Android. Seems to work pretty well, but I haven’t had much time to tinker with it yet. I’ll let you know how I like it in a day or two…
