Thanks Buffo!
I downloaded the whole set. I love cookbooks, not just for the recipes, but also for the insights into culture they provide. A good ethnic cookbook always includes bits and pieces of lore and history and setting that often reveals more about a people than a head-on approach does. And the recipes themselves reveal the true heart of a people. Borscht for instance, seems like a boring and, to many folks (not me!), disgusting soup made from a cheep ingredients for the purpose of sustenance and nothing else. But look at the playful and imaginative ways people have dressed up beet soup and you get a look into the soul of that people. What a treat this collection is!
So along with watching another Tebow moment, my afternoon yesterday was filled!
Thanks pardner,
Ed
