Poll Party #1
One of the things I like doing the most on this blog is the polls. I know we probably aren’t representative of the general public, but that makes this even more interesting, as far as I’m concerned.
When one of my regular readers and commenters, Lady Galaxy, suggested I do a poll when I found a poll done elsewhere surprising, I thought it would be fun to just do a bunch of sort of random polls.
So, here we go…everybody into the poll!
Oh, and I’d appreciate you just picking the answer that’s closest, if nothing matches exactly.
This first one is close to the L.A. Times poll, but I have worded it a bit differently and given a different choice. We are getting at the same issue basically, but the L.A. Times just said books, for example, and I specified novels. I figured there might be cookbooks, art books, textbooks, that kind of thing, that might give a different result than just novels.

I admit to having purchased a book, then returned it in order to test something.
