Freebie flash! A baker’s dozen of titles

Freebie flash! A baker’s dozen of titles

As usual, I don’t vouch for these books, and they come from companies that are not (to my knowledge) blocking text-to-speech. As promotional titles, they may not be free for long. Note: these books are free in the USA: prices in other countries may vary.

Mixed Bags
by Melody Carlson
Published by Zondervan (a faith-based publisher)

Interestingly, this is the second free book by Melody Carlson since I’ve been doing these Freebie flashes…and from a different publisher!  She has reportedly sold over two million copies, and is particularly known for teen Christian fiction.  This one is the first in the Carter House Girls series.  On the death of her mother, a teenage girl goes to live her former fashion model grandmother, sho has opened a boarding house for what the newcomer is sure are budding fashionistas.

Stealing Bradford

Here’s the second book in Carlson’s Carter House Girls series…two freebies to start a series…nice!

Beyond the Reflection’s Edge
Eternity’s Edge
by Bryan Davis
Published by Zondervan (a faith-based publisher)

These are the first and second books in the Echoes from the Edge young adult series from CBA (it used to be Christian Booksellers Association) bestselling author Davis.  It sounds like a creepy fantasy with murdered parents an a mirror that shows things that don’t exist.

Katy’s New World
by Kim Vogel Sawyer
Published by Zondervan (a faith-based publisher)

Always Watching
by Brandilynn Collins
Amberly Collins
Published by Zondervan (a faith-based publisher)

Collins is an award-winning suspense author…I’d tell you what she calls her style, but she trademarked it.  😉  This is the first book in the Rayne Tour teen mystery series.

The Malacca Conspiracy
by Don Brown
Published by Zondervan (a faith-based publisher)

Quick point: this is Don Brown, the writer of Christian suspense tales, not Dan Brown.  🙂  He’s a former Navy JAG (Judge Advocate General) officer, which presumably informs his contemporary, politically-charged thrillers.

Lucy Doesn’t Wear Pink

Lucy’s Perfect Summer
by Nancy Rue
Published by Zondervan (a faith-based publisher)

This is the first and third book in Rue’s Nancy series, which is classified as being for kids 9-12.

Chosen Ones
The Aedyn Chronicles
by Alister E. McGrath
Published by Zondervan (a faith-based publisher)

It’s a fantasy for 9-12 year olds, with a magical kingdom reached through a glowing pond.

Reaper’s Justice
by Charlotte Boyett-Compo
published by Ellora’s Cave (an erotic romance publisher)

Well, I’d tell you more about the author, but even her blog has a content warning.  🙂  She’s got 76 titles in the Kindle store, and this is part of the Western Wind series, although this is a short (107kb, compared to the typical 800kb).

Thrill of the Hunt
by Nathalie Gray
published by Ellora’s Cave (an erotic romance publisher)

This is another Ellora’s Cave short, from an author with categories for Steampunk and science fiction on her site…and a series with the tagline WEREWOLVES MERCENARIES…in SPACE!

Skin Magic
by Kim Knox
published by Ellora’s Cave (an erotic romance publisher)

Another short, part of the “Naughty Nooners” series.  This one involves magic.
