Help help to bring books to kids

Help help to bring books to kids

I’ve written a few times previously about, a non-profit organization that gets the world’s literature to disadvantaged kids by bringing Kindles (and solar power and satellite internet) to remote locations.

I was very pleased to see that is doing a fundraising drive to help out:’s WorldReader fundraiser

They give you an easy way to donate (using Amazon giftcards).

M-Edge, which makes my favorite Kindle cover to date, is also helping.  The first 25 people who donate $200 or more through BookLending’s program will get a customized Kindle cover!  This is part of their new service,

You can upload an image (you should have the rights to it, of course), add text, and so on.  This is available for the Kindle 2 and Kindle 3 (and some non-Kindle devices.

It’s a great Kindle gift!  Mom, Dad, or grad already have a Kindle?  This is a nice gift for those upcoming occasions.

I am still traveling today, and I almost waited until tomorrow on this, but I didn’t want you to miss out on the first 25 offer.  🙂
