40% off Mindles for Amazon.com Rewards Visa cardholders
This is an interesting (and money-saving) special offer for people who have an Amazon.com Rewards Visa.
This offer is on the Kindle, the $79/$109 model (in the USA).
It’s also on accessories for all the current models (even the DX).
Here are the
Just to do the math for you, that means you can get the ad-supported Mindle for $47.40!
They say the limit is “1 promotional code” per customer, and they set a limit of a $100 discount. I don’t think that means you can only buy one Mindle…I believe it means you can only use the discount on one order (which might include more than one Mindle).
Read the details before you buy…but don’t take too long waiting. It ends August 15th “or while supplies last”.
Could they be clearing out stock in anticipation of new models?
Maybe…they might also be clearing it out before prices change…both of those things might happen at the same time.
I do think it is very likely that new models are coming soon…and I do think there will be something in the Mindle’s niche. That’s been a popular product for them. The $79 version is the second most thing named a Kindle (after the Kindle Fire). It’s more popular than the Touch, Keyboard, or DX.
One great reason to have an “extra” Kindle, which my reader Karin Bird recently. You can loan it out to friends and family! I’ve easily bought more than $50 worth of books for people I know. Know somebody who might not be able to afford books as easily as you can, but who is a person you trust? You could give/lend them a Kindle that’s on your account…and they have access to all* the books you have or will buy on that account.
Breaking the $50 barrier? That’s impressive!
*In some rare cases, a book may not be available in your archives after you buy it…that’s my understanding, anyway, and what Amazon used to say. If a book was removed from the Kindle store because it infringed on someone’s copyright, that would be an example. Not every book works on every model.
