Heads up right now! 20 minutes left: LTSO on Coffee Press

Heads up right now! 20 minutes left: LTSO on Coffee Press

Update: this deal is now over.

Brazil 8-Cup French Press Coffeemaker, 1-Liter, White for $7 (instead of $27). I’m not linking to it, because going to it on Amazon’s website is not going to be how you get the deal, and I don’t want to confuse people.

You must have a Kindle Fire with Special Offers**, and you’ll see the link on your “screen saver” or by going to Offers from the homescreen. There will be a “Learn more” link or something like that once it shows up. That will have a countdown clock. Hover over that clock, and click it as soon as you can. If you have any control over the network you are using, I think that matters…faster is better. :)

Update: this one doesn’t have the countdown clock (I pasted some from the last deal to get it out sooner). The deal is still going on…I didn’t see it this time early enough to warn you before the clock.

I’m hoping some of you see this and manage to snag one. The history on these has been that they sell out in seconds. Again, I would approach this like buying a lottery ticket: the odds that you are going to “win” are quite small, but I think it is fun to try. :)

Here is information on the program:

Limited Time Special Offers only on Kindle Fire
Limited Time Special Offers only on Kindle Fire at AmazonSmile

Good luck! I’d appreciate hearing if you get one. :)

Nominate a child to be given a free Kindle at Give a Kid a Kindle. You can also now recommend a child to be the recipient.

* I am linking to the same thing at the regular Amazon site, and at AmazonSmile. When you shop at AmazonSmile, half a percent of your purchase price on eligible items goes to a non-profit you choose. It will feel just like shopping at Amazon: you’ll be using your same account. The one thing for you that is different is that you pick a non-profit the first time you go (which you can change whenever you want)…and the good feeling you’ll get. :) Shop ’til you help! :)

** Thanks to reader Paula for pointing out that I hadn’t specified that these are for Kindle Fires “with Special Offers”. These LTSO (Limited Time Special Offers) represent a good reason to have the Special Offers. That does mean you’ll see ads on the lockscreen, but they don’t bother me. If you want to subscribe to Special Offers, you can…and you won’t pay anything to do it (you pay to remove them, since you are no longer to watch the ads…that’s why the advertisers help subsidize your purchase). You go to

go to Manage Your Devices. People have different versions of MYK right now, I think, but generally, select your device and you’ll see a choice to subscribe to Special Offers.

    Got one!

Are these offers only available on a Kindle Fire that was purchased “with Special Offers?” Mine is a 1st gen Fire without special offers and I can’t ever find a way to locate these limited time deals when you post them.

      Thanks for writing, Paula!

Yes, that’s right…you need to have Special Offers on your Kindle Fire. This is one of the big arguments for having them. I’ll make that clearer in the post.

Got one. Now, hopefully SWMBO will allow it in their domain.
