* I am linking to the same thing at the regular Amazon site, and at AmazonSmile. When you shop at AmazonSmile, half a percent of your purchase price on eligible items goes to a non-profit you choose. It will feel just like shopping at Amazon: you’ll be using your same account. The one thing for you that is different is that you pick a non-profit the first time you go (which you can change whenever you want)…and the good feeling you’ll get. :) Shop ’til you help! :)

Happy Birthday Walter Miller – I just wish “A Canticle for Leibowitz” was available for Kindle!

      Thanks for writing, brucekessel!

I get that. 🙂 It was published in 1960, I think, so it won’t fall into the public domain for some time. In a case like this, where the author basically became a recluse after the publication of the book, it can be hard to negotiate those e-book rights. There was an agent involved, but I don’t know what sort of instructions might have been left.
