Flash! Amazon now selling more Kindle books than print books

I don’t think this news is going to stun most people, because it’s been coming for a while and we’ve had several announcements on the way building towards it.

Amazon announces that Kindle book sales now beat all combined paperbook sales at Amazon.

It’s definitely a milestone.

E-books are now the mainstream.  Paperbooks are a niche product.  😉

That’s only true at Amazon, from what we know from this announcement.  Many books are sold outside of Amazon, of course…but the momentum is with e. 

Think about that, rightsholders…if your backlist isn’t in e-book form, you are only selling to the minority of Amazon book buyers…

      Thanks for writing, Blonde!

      I agree…amazing! In less than five years, e-books have gotten to this level from having been something like half a percent of the US publishing market. They’ll be more than ten percent of it this year…
