Starting today (20 August), Peletoners can read their Kindle books on their Bikes & Treads
Starting today, 20 August 2024, Peleton members in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, Austria, and Germany will be able to access their Kindle libraries directly on their Bike, Bike+, Tread, or Tread+ Peleton workout machines’ screens.

This is a big deal & a great partnership, in my opinion! When the Kindle 1st came out, more than 16 years ago, that was something that attracted me to it. I was working out at the gym, and while the bikes & treadmills there might have a “book rack”, it wasn’t very deep. I couldn’t really put most books in it, certainly without breaking the spine (which I didn’t do). Magazines, yes, books no.
A Kindle (even the original wedge model, as I recall), could fit into it. That meant I could read while working out. I have read in almost every circumstance! 😉
This will make that convenient for Peleton members to do the same thing.
Amazon reached out to me with this yesterday (with an embargo on the release until 11:00 AM Eastern today), which I really appreciated. I used to write a lot about Kindles & e-books, but haven’t done it as much lately (due to a variety of reasons). It’s great that they still had me in their records.
I felt like this was a big enough deal to write about it here. I intend to add links to more information when it becomes available.
